Christians should be encouraged to know that Christ hold all things together, as Paul explains, Christ made al things, and no are all thing made through Him, but also for Him. We cannot have too high a view of Christ, and thus be encouraged that He is the one who forgives and so richly blesses us.
Christians know that there is one body, one Spirit, on hope of our calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism and one God and Father. Theses things are true and beyond debate or dispute—but with what attitudes are we to hold them? Let’s look at the instructions before the list of seven ones.

We have a perfect example to follow. Only in following Christ will we live live our life aright.
Peter reminds all Christians that they are called to fully follow Christ. He also points out that Christ suffered for us, and by that suffering we are healed. So to fully follow the suffering Christ is to follow even in difficulty and suffering.
