/In the New Testament, James wrote, "The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much." He was speaking of the prayer of Elijah at the contest with he had with the prophets of Baal over who was God over Israel. We examine how Elijah's prayers are examples and encouragement for us in our prayers.
